Hot Chocolate Mix (store in pantry in airtight container)
2 1/2 cups dry non-fat milk powder
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (such as Ghirardelli brand)
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp corn starch
Mix all ingredients together. For one cup, fill a mug half full with the mix, then add hot water and stir thoroughly. For a larger batch, put 3 cups of water in a pot on the stove with 1 cup of the mix. Add a splash of vanilla and whisk it while it heats.
Super Dark Hot Chocolate (for 1)
6 oz non-fat milk or water (or combo of milk and water)
1-2 Tbl unsweetened cocoa powder (such as Ghirardelli brand)
2-3 tsp sugar
dash of vanilla
pinch of salt
pinch of chipotle chili powder (optional, for Mexican style)
Heat all ingredients together in a small pot on the stove. Whisk to remove clumps.
